Monika Wulfers is a Berlin born artist who resides in Chicago. She received a BA in Philosophy from North Central College and an MFA with a concentration in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied painting under Ray Yoshida and Ted Halkin. Her work includes video, digital photography, and painting and has been shown in museums in the US, Austria, and Germany.

Recent collected video works are titled Waiting For Thoreau and include Homemade, Living Room, Head Light Space Travel, Spring, and Daytrip. Her first computer generated film dates back to 1977. Her recent body of work, Disturbances, was inspired by her work with groundwater and her life on an island.
