Ann Ginsburgh Hofkin

Ann Ginsburgh Hofkin studied philosophy, mathematics and music at Mount Holyoke College and earned a master’s degree from Bryn Mawr College. In 2001, she was among several individuals who were selected to participate in a cultural exchange to work with artists in Israel, a project which led to a permanent installation at the Poriya Hospital in Tiberias, Israel.

Recently, Ginsburgh Hofkin has had three solo exhibitions of her photography in Israel and a one-person show at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum in South Hadley, Massachusetts in addition to many group shows. She was also named a finalist for the Adi Prize for Jewish Expression in Art and Design and was featured in its exhibition at the Israel Museum in 2005. Last fall, she had a one-person exhibition at the Jerusalem Theatre in Israel. In May, 2007, her work comprised the show in Gallery 2 at A.I.R. Gallery in New York City, and in June, 2007, her photographs were featured in a solo exhibition at the Givatayim Theatre in Tel Aviv. Currently, her work is part of a group show at the Black and White Gallery in Brooklyn (“Compass”). In October, 2007, she will have an exhibition at the Sande Webster Gallery in Philadelphia. Ginsburgh Hofkin is represented by Nina Bliese Gallery in Minneapolis, FLATFILEgalleries in Chicago, A.I.R. Gallery in New York, and Sande Webster Gallery in Philadelphia. Her photographs are part of numerous private and corporate collections, including the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 3M, Medtronic Corporation and Fidelity Investments.
